Quotes are an essential part of the billing process at GoTo. They allow customers, after interacting with the Sales team, to help make a decision to procure specific services for their business. GoTo does not intend to replace the Sales function with AI but rather to expedite the process and enhance transparency.
The main issues pertaining to quotes primarily revolved around the clarity of the information provided and how that information was consumed:
Initially, the layout of the quote was relatively intuitive when it included only a small amount of individual products. However, it became more challenging to navigate as it expanded to accommodate a larger number of items, particularly with the introduction of product families through, which I wrote about earlier.
Secondly, we identified issues with the order summary related to the items in a quote: its structure, information density and perception.
